Sport and the house system
Four houses, timetabled sport for every student, and inter-house competition through the year.
Every student plays. Sport is timetabled from 3:00 pm, and the four houses compete through the year, ending with inter-house sports in first term.

Every new student is assigned to a house on admission, and siblings go to the same house. Houses compete in sport, debating, the science exhibition and end-of-term tidiness inspections; the house cup is presented on prize-giving day.
